Administrative Coordinator

Overview of Position:

The Administrative Coordinator contributes to the overall success of the organization by supporting the President and Board of Directors of Manitoba SwimAbility. The role focuses on office coordination, assisting with fundraising events, liaising with community stakeholders, and ensuring accurate documentation is kept.

Regular Duties

  • Office
  • Acting as first point of contact for inquiries, via telephone, email, and social media
  • Maintaining the organization’s finances on a month-to-month basis
  • Providing organizational feedback to the Board of Directors
  • Events and Fundraising
  • Documenting standard operating procedures for events
  • Assisting with the organization, marketing, and business relations for annual Golf Tournament and Gala
  • Updating of sponsorship packages
  • Reviewing potential advertising and promotional materials for the organization
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the organization’s social media sites
  • Participating in volunteer recruitment plants including attending career fairs, school events, and screening applications
  • Assisting with the annual Summer Camp during the month of August
  • Research and application for funding/grant opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • 3 years experience in fast-paced administrative role
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and social media platforms
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and use of vehicle is required
  • Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check is required

Helpful Experience

  • Working with youth with special needs would be considered an asset
  • Prior fundraising or event management experience an asset
